PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
As part of the Grandiflora redevelopment in East Knoxville, MHM renovated two homes in a historic district along Magnolia Avenue to serve as foundational anchors for the project’s mission.
The 4,600-square-foot Main House (House A) now functions as the headquarters for the Lawson Family Foundation. Beside it, the 3,066-square-foot Guest House (House B) offers comfortable accommodations for visiting collaborators. Both homes were carefully renovated to complement the historic urban fabric of the neighborhood, blending timeless character with modern purpose.
Inside, the design showcases custom, high-end finishes and bespoke detailing throughout. From handcrafted millwork to thoughtfully curated materials and fixtures, each space was tailored to reflect the Grandiflora Foundation’s focus on creativity, community, and connection. The result is a pair of refined, inspiring environments that support the foundation’s work while enhancing the surrounding neighborhood.
These residential renovations are key components of a broader vision to celebrate place, history, and revitalization through thoughtful design.
