PRINCIPAL

Li Wang, AIA, NOMA, LEED AP BD+C, is a Principal at McCarty Holsaple McCarty Architects. Li is an exceptional consensus builder who is dedicated to the success of the project and stays inclusive to keep the entire project team engaged, including clients, consultants, contractors, and designers. Li is a member of NOMA at Large, which focuses on fostering justice and equity in communities of color through outreach, community advocacy, professional development, and design excellence.

Enthusiastic about Design in Context and Place-Making design approaches, Li focuses on strengthening campus spaces as places that stimulate learning and promote collaboration. Li strives to find solutions to create inclusive and welcoming environments on Campuses for students from all backgrounds. Li has contributed significantly to MHM’s Higher Education architectural practice. Her work includes some of the University of Tennessee’s recent significant buildings, including the new Zeanah Engineering Complex for the College of Engineering and the new Mossman Science Laboratory building at the heart of the campus across from Ayres Hall / “the Hill.” Serving the UT Chancellor’s Associates 2020-2023 Class and Leadership Knoxville Class 2022, Li is dedicated to building relationships with local community leaders to listen to needs and all voices of the communities.
